Dear Friend,
This is one lesson we DIDN’T expect to learn in seminary!
How does a wife, mother, homemaker , teacher, businesswoman, entrepreneur, founder/director of an organization for kids at risk, do it all?
And another thing. How does she do it all WITH LAUGHTER AND A SMILE?
Learning that lesson from Mrs. Resnik would be enough.
BUT THERE IS MORE!
Mrs. Resnik’s husband was diagnosed with ALS four years ago and has become progressively more infirm and immobile.
And she still exudes positivity and joy!
In addition to her many roles Mrs. Resnik HAS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY of raising the funds for her husband’s 24 HOUR HOME HEALTH-AID AND OTHER MEDICAL EXPENSES.
We, her students, and you – our friends, family and acquaintances - have the UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY to help this incredible woman! This is the first time we have the oppurtunity to help her raise the $100,000+ yearly budget that her husband’s condition necessitates.
"When we walked into Mrs Resnik’s home for the first time and she told us the story of her husband’s diagnosis, and then took us through her day-to-day life, we naturally became heavy-hearted and sad. As soon as Mrs. Resnik saw this, she put a smile on her face and told us, “In this home, we deal with our situation with happiness.”
Over the next eight months, when some of us spent our community service/chessed hours at Mrs. Resnik’s home each week, we saw first-hand that her words are true. Amidst all the chaos of having a husband/father battling ALS, the atmosphere in the Resnik home is always up-beat, full of laughter, with lively music playing.
And before we leave, SHE ALWAYS THANKS US for coming!" - Rivka Cohen, current student.
Now it’s time for all of us to repay Mrs. Resnik for the eternal lessons she has taught us. Her students have challenged each other. Our goal is for each student and alumni to raise ( with the help of friends and family) $500 so that half a year’s medical expenses will be covered. Please accept our challenge, grab this special opportunity, and donate GENEROUSLY today!
Be sure that any amount will be gladly accepted, and may Hashem repay your generosity with boundless health, positivity and joy.
As of 06/16 we have found a matcher! The proposition is for us to raise our goal of $100,000 by 06/23 and every penny will matched- All or nothing!!
