HBCU PROVIDES LIFETIME SUPPLY OF WATER FOR AFRICAN COMMUNITY
Donation protected
My name is King Kwame. I am a serial entrepreneur, world traveler, and philanthropist. Most importantly, I am an alumnus of the illustrious Virginia State University, an HBCU striving to make our communities better, one individual and one act at a time.
During my numerous visits across the African continent, I noticed that we still have villages and communities, like Larabanga in the northern region of Ghana, that do not have access to clean drinking water. This community of about 4,000 people not only lacked a water supply but also access to clean water. The entire community was getting their drinking water from two local unsanitary dams, where both people and animals shared the water. As a result, many residents were contracting typhoid fever, malaria, and other illnesses. With your donations, we were able to successfully build a water well in that community, and now we are moving on to help another community in need.
Virginia State University alums, we are seeking your help! With your support, we will build a water well that will provide a lifetime supply of clean drinking water for the community. All funds will go directly toward the water well project. If we exceed our goal, the excess funds will be used for our next water well project in another community. The video below shows a great example of the work we will be doing. Please join us in this effort—every donation, no matter the size, will help us reach our goal.
