Life's Transition Came quickly. I need help

Hi, My name is Terresa Soloman. I have worked my whole life but things have changed quickly and I am now unable to work. My husband became ill a few years back.

We owned a small construction company and we earned a decent living. However, my husband developed a severe liver disease and was not able to continue to work. Together, we have one child who is now in high school.

While my husband tried to recover, I became the only income to sustain our family. I had a sick husband and a small child to care and provide for.

I was overwhelmed with the costs of living and had to try to take care of my husband and our child. Long story, shorter, we lost our home and our land! I couldn't earn enough to make the house payments and effectively provide care for my husband and child.

My husband passed away and I found a place to stay with my son and I was earning enough to sustain us at a more meager lifestyle, but we were surviving.

Then I was stricken with severe shortness of breath and was diagnosed with COPD. I was able to still do some limited work but the COPD worsened until today I constantly require oxygen to survive and it appears that my working days are over.

I have applied for social security disability and I feel confident that I will relieve it too, however, I am on the verge of losing my home rented, lights, and the bare essentials of life.

If I can survive for the next couple of months, perhaps I will start receiving assistance but now, I need help, not so much for me as for my child. He deserves a decent place to sleep and clothes to wear the school.
