Life & light after Willow
Donation protected
Hi my name is jenny, I’m Willows Aunty.
As most of you may know Willow was born with many chronic illnesses… Nf1, Kidney failure and more. Willow spent most of her 3 years on this planet in and out of hospital, living her life on a machine to keep her alive.
Yet she lived a life filled with love, laughter and joy. Her mum, dad and sister lived their lives around little Willow, they all worked so hard to keep on top of her medication (there was a lot!), visits / stays to the hospital and complete isolation for many months. Her mummy, have up her career to become her full time carer, as well as her dad having to give up his work in London, and you Can imagine the stress on her poor sister Nancy.
But no matter how much of a strain it played on all of their mental health… their home was always filled with love & laughter. Not all of the time of course…but most of the time.
With every piece of hope on Monday 9th may, willow and her dad headed to Evelina children’s hospital in hope of Willow receiving her dads kidney. Unfortunately due to complications, the kidney was rejected, and fluid spread around willows body causing brain damage. It’s a lot more complicated (I’m just not v good at explaining that sort of stuff). Sadly there was nothing anyone could do… and the machines were switched off yesterday Friday 13TH (what a date, I’ve only just noticed that).
We are all totally heartbroken beyond belief… I’m so so worried about the well being of Emily, James ( who is not only coming to terms of major surgery - kidney removal but also the loss of his daughter) and Nancy - creating this page is the only thing I can do right now to try and give them something to focus on / look forward to (as well as be there for them every step of the way).
The previous crowd funding page for Willow was amazing and was used to reconfigure their home for Willow to have wheelchair access, as well as a new buggy / bed etc.
So I thought I would create this page to gather funds for them to make LIFE AFTER WILLOW the tiniest bit easier (if that’s at all possible) so maybe with the funds they can make Willows dream come true with a trip to Disney Land with Willows sister Nancy age 8, a memorial bench overlooking the sea, the best bereavement therapy - I dunno just something to focus on / look forward to… They really need something to look forward to… and with every £1 being appreciated I really hope we can give them something amazing to look forward to. As well as the best send off for Willow!!
Thank you so so much for taking the time to read this! And pllllssss help me give Willows Mummy, daddy and sister something to look forward to…
lots of love
jenny
