Hello my name is Lisa and the beautiful lady right at the front of this picture is my Daughter-in-Law. You can read her story further down as she has put into her own words, something that I still can't comprehend and understand. I am trying to do something practical as I feel completely at a loss at what I can do. I am wanting amy my son and my five wonderful grandchildren to have some special days out over the summer holidays. To make memories together as a family. With things still so uncertain I am reaching out for help to make this happen I appreciate everyone is struggling. We are a small but very loving family. Any help will be so much appreciated.
Here is what Amy wrote to explain this terribly difficult and uncertain time for them all.
This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share.
I’ve been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer that has spread to my liver. It is incurable. Right now, I haven’t started treatment yet, but I’m working with my care team on what comes next.
This news is heavy, and I’m still processing it. There’s fear, grief, and uncertainty—but also love, clarity, and deep gratitude for the people who are walking with me.
I don’t have all the answers, and I may not always feel like talking—but I wanted to share this openly and honestly. Thank you for your support, your kindness, and your presence. It means more than I can say.
Check your boobs!!! Always check your breasts!
I went to the doctor with a pea-sized lump while pregnant with belle, in april and then again in june. 8 days after having belle, they diagnosed me with grade 3 breast cancer. Today, after all the scans, they tell me its spread. Advocate for yourselves, don't let them fob you off.
CHECK YOUR BREASTS.
If anything, anything atall feels off, get them checked.
Thank you so much and it is very appreciated.
