Life After War
Donation protected
We are helping to start a new and safe life for a wonderful family of 5 from war-torn Ukraine, specifically the city of Mykolaiv.
Leaving your home under the best of circumstances is always difficult. Running from bombs raining down on the heads of their three children, including a 6-year-old and a 2-year-old, is unimaginable to most of us here in America.
The Shevchenkos are an honest, hard-working, strong proud family who were able to escape the war and start a new life.
No one was left behind, not even Amelia, their 9 year old Egyptian cat.
While we are working with the help of the government's program, Uniting for Ukraine it only provides a pathway for Ukrainian citizens like the Shevchenko family to come to America and find safety here.
Tatiana Shevchenko and her husband and children arrived safely here June 1st. Our campaign seeks $25,000 to help with housing, education, healthcare, transportation and veterinary while they find their footing and seek employment in their new world.
Every donation counts, no matter the size.
