Liberty Landing is an 89-unit condominium complex and community that allows residents with intellectual and/or physical disabilities to have an affordable, accessible, and inclusive housing option.

As families of loved ones with special needs, we’ve spent most of our lives advocating for them. Like many of you, we have worked hard to create opportunities for them in school, work, and socially. The idea to build Liberty Landing came from the need for a housing option and a way to become independent for our kids post-high school.

Liberty Landing has given our residents an opportunity to create one of the best things in life- friendships. Our residents often spend time together exploring our community, such as listening to live music, dancing, participating in Special Olympics teams, or watching sporting events. You name it- they love it.

Within the condominium, you will often find residents playing card games, hosting dinners for friends, attending bible study, creating arts and crafts, hanging out together to watch their favorite movies, or celebrating holidays and birthdays together.

Supporting these activities comes at a cost and that is where we need your help. Currently, we are looking for donations to help furnish several open areas within our building. This would allow residents more space to do these activities together. Below is a list of plans for the building and a glimpse of how your generous donation will be used:

1. Two exterior steel benches at each of the entrances of our building for socializing or waiting for rides.

2. We have several open spaces within the building that need furnishings to create space

for hosting crafts, games, movie nights, potlucks, and celebrations.

3. The residents love to spend time in the enclosed courtyard, which guarantees safety and fun. This space needs patio furniture, yard games, and picnic tables to enjoy cookouts or lunch with friends.

Our estimated cost for these projects is $35,000, so we are looking for anyone who can help us achieve this goal. Your donation will help make Liberty Landing feel like “home” to our residents. All money raised will go directly toward supporting the Liberty Landing community.

We also understand that you may not be able to donate at this time. Getting the word out about this project is just as important as the money we raise. Please help by sharing this page with your family and friends.
