Liberty Care Flintshire are pleased to announce that they shall be fundraising for Rupert's Rainbow on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th July 26, by collectively completing the virtual covering of Offa’s Dyke (some 177 miles, from Prestatyn in the North, to Cas-gwent in the South). This is intended to be achieved by a few of our care practitioners firstly undertaking a fancy dressed walk up and down our local prominent peak, Moel Famau, here in North Wales, on Tuesday 14th Jul 26, followed by a day on static exercise machines, Wednesday 15 Jul 26, outside our offices here at Sealmart House, Yr Wyddgrug, SiryFflint.

Ruperts Rainbow is a family and community led action group, raising funds and awareness for Rupert, a local infant living with Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood (AHC). AHC is a rare neurodevelopmental, and life threatening disorder, characterized by repeated episodes of weakness or paralysis that may affect one side of the body or the other (hemiplegia) or both sides of the body at once (quadriplegia). Additional episodic symptoms usually include intermittent abnormal eye movements, episodes of muscle stiffness or posturing (dystonia), and in a substantial percentage of cases, seizures.

There is currently no known cure for individuals living with AHC, so please give as generously as possible, in order to fund the highest level of research and development possible, to support them all going forwards - Thank you Diolch yn fawr from all here at Liberty Care Flintshire - Lisa Jones (Practice Manager).
