As some of you know Heidi's family has been going through a nightmare they would never wish on their worst enemy. They found out on Nov. 5, 2020 that her then 12 yr. old daughter had been sexually abused since around the age of 5 years old. They have struggled this past year (to say the least) and have to come to the point they are today. Heidi has done this on her own and we know how strong she has tried to be. She has been doing everything she can to keep her kids mentally & physically healthy through all this. Along with herself with trying to provide just the normal life for 3 children in this nightmare; along with all of the now extra things that they all need to get by… such as therapy etc… They have a lifetime of healing ahead of them and they are doing everything they can to make sure this happens. They are trying to work through 7 years of trauma. Her daughter does not get to live a normal 13 yr olds life. Her days are filled with triggers, anger, tears, panic attacks and therapy appointments. Heidi has been driving her daughter to Toledo (1hr away) and Bowling Green (35min.away) 6 days week for therapies for over a year. She spends some days in the car driving for 7 hours because they do both therapies. This has caused her to miss many work days since the disclosure and has been rough on their pockets; and in turn sometimes having sleepless nights to make up those hours to now miss them on the paycheck; they have struggled to make it work!!

But they made it to TODAY! God willing & bless all of you who have prayed along the way!

Thursday, September 8th was the Federal Court Sentencing. He was sentenced to 29yrs in Federal prison for the Production charge. They came to Florida from Ohio to face the monster who has caused this trauma and pain. Then on September, 29th (the day before her daughter's birthday) is the State of Florida's Sentencing. He has 3 capital charges and 2 Felony chargers. They will be down to see this to the end, no matter what it takes!

They have managed to do this all by themselves for so long. But 2 trips to Florida in 1 month to face this man is going to be very expensive and will once again put them behind. They have been trying to play catch up for a long time because unfortunately this trauma meant Heidi no longer receives child support, had to adjust her finances to raise her 3 children, miss work/hours to get them the mental attention that they ALL NEED… Many friends and family have asked if there is any way to help, so here it is. This is so difficult to do, but at this point it is necessary. Now that they are nearing the end and we are asking for help for Heidi. Her daughters birthday happens to fall the day after the last sentencing in September, Heidi is doing anything and everything in her power to make that trip not all about the official closure of a nightmare; but yet a celebration/memorable birthday celebration for her baby girl in hopes to bring her best friend who has also been a rock/support system to her daughter. Heidi’s end goal for this month is to overshadow any further trauma this sentencing may bring! As you can gather there has been a ton of trauma, now that the last sentencing is set to that day, Heidi just wants to be sure that her daughters birthdays from that day forward are not triggered with these memories! To know Heidi is to love Heidi! She is a hell of a woman and has done such an INCREDIBLE job with the hand that she has been dealt! She’s that person you can call no matter what time of day and just vent, she’ll listen… and most important she’ll be there; AT THE DROP OF A DIME! I’ve witnessed it so many times; we want her to somewhat feel any type of weight off of her shoulders! Any help will be greatly appreciated.
