Support for Líadan.

Our beautiful 2-year-old niece, Líadan, is courageously battling leukemia.

As part of Paul & Marge’s family, we are committed to doing everything we can to support her during this challenging time and to enhance her quality of life throughout her treatment.

Líadan’s treatment will be ongoing for 2 years and 9 months, with the first 6 to 9 months being especially intense. We are raising funds to help alleviate the significant financial burdens associated with her care.

The funds raised will go toward the following essential needs:

* Safe Water Supply: Installing a water treatment system for a private domestic well to ensure Líadan has safe, clean water during her treatment.

* Power Supply: Installing a generator to ensure continuous access to clean water and heating in their home, especially during her treatment.

* Therapies: Covering the costs of play and music therapy to support Líadan’s emotional and psychological well-being as she undergoes treatment.

* Garden Makeover: Creating a safe, stimulating outdoor play area to brighten Líadan’s environment. Since Líadan will have to avoid indoor group activities and playschool, this outdoor space will offer a safe area for her to play and interact with other children.

. Accommodation: Assisting with lodging costs for Líadan’s family in Dublin while she receives treatment at Crumlin Children’s Hospital.

Home Care: Helping with household running costs while her parents take leave from work to provide 24/7 care for Líadan.

* Travel Expenses: Covering transportation costs for frequent trips between Cork University Hospital and Crumlin Children’s Hospital in Dublin. This will be 4-5 days a week in the upcoming months, followed by weekly visits to CUH and monthly trips to Crumlin. There will be significant additional travel to access required care for the next 2.5 years.

McKenna Clan Fundraising Events….

To kickstart our efforts, Adrienne will be running the Cork City Half Marathon on June 1st. Throughout the summer, Paul’s Mum & sisters and brother will be hosting additional events, including coffee mornings and community gatherings keep your eyes on our page for updates and pleasant come along …will make it social & fun your support will be hugely appreciated.

We’re reaching out to our friends, family, the broader community. Your donation, participation, or even just sharing this go fund me page can make a meaningful difference. We deeply appreciate any support you can offer.

If we raise more funds than are needed for Líadan’s direct expenses, the excess will be donated to Aoibhean’s Pink Tie and the Irish Cancer Society to help other families in need.
