Hi, my name is Marcy and I'm fundraising for my friend's daughter Lexine.

On January 18th, 2024, my friend's ( Ben Pacificar, who's my brother from another mother and his wife Gina) world was turned upside down. Their daughter, Lexine Pacificar, a vibrant 16-year-old high school student and scholar, loved by her family and friends experienced a life-threatening medical emergency. Lexine suffered a massive blood clot and stroke, leading to a series of critical health complications that have left her fighting for her life in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Kaiser Roseville, CA.

Since that fateful day, Lexine has been bravely battling infections, a brain bleed, and the challenges of being intubated and extubated to assist her breathing. She has undergone numerous surgeries, including procedures to alleviate swelling in her brain and the placement of a G-tube to ensure she receives essential nutrients.

Throughout this traumatic journey, Lexine's parents, grandmother, and older brother have remained steadfastly by her side, providing unwavering love and support. However, the harsh reality is that their family is facing immense financial strain due to the mounting medical expenses, including hospital bills, surgeries, medications, transportation for the family, and ongoing care.

Dad’s company was shut down during the pandemic when he decided to go into a small business building wooden planters, but couldn't fulfill orders. Mom is currently on leave and will need to go back to work soon.
