Lewisham Lights Up Help Families Attend Blackheath Fireworks

Hi, I’m Kayode Damali, Founder of Lewisham Icons.
This Saturday, the Blackheath Fireworks are finally back after six years, and I can’t wait! I grew up coming here as a kid, and it’s always been one of those nights that brings everyone across Lewisham together.
But this year, I’ve seen a lot of people saying they can’t afford to go because of the ticket prices, and that hit me. Something that’s meant to unite the community shouldn’t leave people out.
So, I’ve decided to do something about it.
I’ve already put up £250 of my own money to help 5 families attend the Blackheath Fireworks, and this GoFundMe is simply to match that so we can double the impact together.
Every approx. £50 raised (roughly the cost of a family ticket) helps one Lewisham family get their tickets and make some memories together.
If just 50 people gave £10 (or even 100 people gave £5!), for example, we’d hit the target and helping another 10 more families enjoy the night.
