In the late evening hours of October 15, 2026, the Lewis family had a fire start in their garage that spread to the front three rooms of their house that belong to two of their daughters and their son. Luckily, no one was harmed, except for minor burns and some smoke inhalation; however, much of their home and belongings were damaged in the fire. This loving family is a staple in the community of Liberty Hill, Texas, and has, at every opportunity, offered kindness, enthusiastic support, and friendship to many of its residents. In this time of need, we ask that the community come together and help support them in any way they can. It is currently very early in the process of assessing the damage and the time that it will take to repair; however, there are immediate needs that must be met. Money for food, clothing, and perhaps a down payment on a rental home is needed, as insurance can take weeks, if not months, to come through. Please support in any way that you can. I know that if you were in the same situation, this family would jump through hoops to help you, whether you were a stranger or a friend. I think you graciously for whatever assistance you can give.
