Baby Levi
This is not something me and my family were ever prepared for
Our son was born on the 5/6/25
He had a rough start being born without a pituitary gland, meaning we have to replace his hormones daily
Then having 2 heart surgery's at just 5 weeks old
When Levi was 9 weeks old we were headed home to settle in as a family of 5
Levi is now 7 months old and a happy playful little guy
On the 29/01 something wasnt right Levi was acting funny throwing his head around like he had no control we decided to get him looked at
After many hours of tests & scans they discovered Levi had a build up of pressure on his brain we were then transfered to Sydney hospital meaning we had to pack up and leave our 2 girls at home while we cared for our son
Levi had a operation on 3/02/26 where they placed a shunt to drain the fluid from his brain surgery went well
My family were discharged on the 5/02/2026 we thought everything was a success
9/02 Levi started acting funny again not feeding and seemed to be in pain, Levi woke on the 10/02 and still wasn't himself, he was showing more signs that something wasn't right, he became lethargic floppy and dehydrated. We rushed levi to the closest hospital multiple scans bloods ect
They found that his shunt is failing and he still has alot of fluid around the brain, Levi got emergency flown back to Sydney hospital where he will remain until they figure out what went wrong
This is financially draining for my family trying to provide for 2 kids at home and also be in Sydney for Levi in this time of need
At this point in time anything helps
Even if it is just sharing it out
