My name is Michael Vera, and I am working to establish Level as a registered nonprofit organization in San Diego.
I am raising funds to cover the filing fees and administrative steps required to complete the registration process. Achieving nonprofit status will allow Level to build long-term structure, apply for funding, strengthen partnerships, and begin developing programs that meet real needs in our city.
Your support helps lay the groundwork for an organization created to bring people together, encourage personal growth, and offer resources that help individuals move forward in life.
Mission Statement:
Level San Diego is a nonprofit designed as a central hub that supports multiple branches of service. The organization begins with core programs focused on wellness, leadership skills, outreach, education, and community support. As new needs arise, Level San Diego will create additional sectors under the main umbrella, allowing the organization to grow, adapt, and respond with purpose. Level San Diego exists to strengthen individuals and groups through knowledge, connection, and long-term growth.
The long-term dream includes dedicated spaces for gatherings and learning, trained staff, strong partnerships across the city, and programs that can also be shared with other regions as the organization grows.
Our vision is a community where people feel strong, empowered, heard, and supported, where everyone has access to resources that help them rise, build confidence, and develop skills that create lasting change. Level aims to become a trusted place of connection, growth, and forward movement for all who walk through its doors.
The first branch to emerge from Level’s foundation is the Level: Public Safety Support Division, marking the beginning of the organization’s growth into multiple service-focused divisions.
Level- Public Safety Support Division is structured to lessen preventable injury, substance-related emergencies, and accidental exposure by implementing practical safety measures, scientific information dissemination, supply distribution, structured response planning, and peer-supported learning. This branch operates in nightlife environments, music-driven gatherings, outreach routes, mobile contact points, and community spaces to offer essential tools, immediate assistance, and navigation toward stabilizing resources. The program supports individuals engaged in high-intensity social settings, or unstable housing circumstances through science-guided education, preparation for emergency situations, accidental reaction planning, and coordinated on-site response.
Through collaboration with experienced field professionals, peer contributors, community-based organizations, and volunteer participants, the program strengthens locally based safety networks and promotes informed decision-making. Long-term goals include the development of community resource hubs, expansion of mobile services, leadership pathways for individuals rebuilding work histories, and establishment of consistent safety practices across multiple environments and event structures.

Michael Vera, born and raised in San Diego, is the founder of Level, a nonprofit organization built on his long-standing dedication to service, education, wellness, and community support. With extensive experience in outreach work, peer support, program creation, and leadership roles across multiple local groups, Michael has spent years helping others find tools that strengthen their lives and their connections with others.
His approach blends lived experience, professional training, and a deep commitment to building spaces where people feel heard, supported, and respected. Michael is known for bringing people together, designing programs that meet real needs, and creating opportunities for learning and personal growth.
Through Level, he is building a foundation that can grow into many branches over time. Each one working toward stronger communities, clearer pathways forward, and environments where people feel empowered to reach their highest potential.
