My name is Owen, I've lived on the Maesgeirchen Estate all my life and I am on a mission ,

As an artist myself I've seen a big lack in facility in the area , is part of the reason I set up the project "Letters Grow" in 2016

Ive since along with great support from the community and some other local creatives / community leaders we managed to pull off 2 festivals for the kids of the estate, had multiple shows and opportunities for them to perform over the years while developing key skills knowledge and confidence in the process.

We now are at the point we have started building a studio in the community centre and need support to develop things further

With aims to have the estates first radio and to be able to consistently provide a safe space to be fully creative.

Along with training and employment and sustainability in the community with advertising slots and such to offer to local businesses.

We could potentially be building a future of entrepreneurs that work together from the estate along with building networks with creatives of other communities.

We have so far managed to get an amazing start and had some great donations of equipment and such for the studio.

But we need more support to build to it's full potential and have a solid asset owned by the estate that will potentially sustain so much within the community.
