Letterkenny Pride 2023

Pride is coming to Letterkenny on August 19th 2023! We need your help to make it as wonderful and powerful as we know it can be!

Pride is about community. It is a magnificent celebration of diversity, a time to bring people together, and of course, a big day of fun. But beyond that, it is about showing members of the LGBTQ+ community who otherwise might find themselves feeling marginalised, that they belong in this town, and in this county. In particular, we feel there is a huge need to show young LGBTQ+ folks that they do not need to leave their hometown in order to feel welcome.

There has been a lot of progress seen in Donegal in recent years, and we want Letterkenny to continue to be a part of that positive change.

The day itself will consist of a parade on Main Street, followed by a number of events around the town, including all-ages family events, concerts, social gatherings etc.

With the success of Donegal's first Pride events last year, Inishowen Pride and 'Bród na Gaeltachta', we think it is about time a major Donegal town holds a day of Pride!

We know it has the potential to be a historic day of positivity and love, and an important and momentous day for many Donegal people and families, so we thank you in advance for any support you can give us! ❤️️‍

Any remaining donations will be given to community youth services that work with LGBTQ+ youth in Letterkenny.
