Momma Bear Needs Our Support To Get a Legal Attorney

Hello neighbors, friends, and family... as many of you know my name is Cassi and I am Lisa Michelle Hamby's daughter. I have created this GoFundMe page for the purpose of getting her the support she needs as she faces a legal battle in the coming days. Something she never thought she would have to do is prove her innocence for sticking her neck out to help a well-known neighbor dog who is neglected, maltreated and kept pinned up in a cage outside. Many of you know all about this dog because my mom made many posts on Facebook asking for prayers and advice on how to help the dog over the years. Well, she is now being falsely accused of stealing the dog AND that is absolutely NOT the truth! My mother is NOT guilty of such a crime and in fact has never had legal issues before having a squeaky clean background until now. Her faith in God is strong and sge knows deep in her heart that He will see her through this difficulty situation she is now facing due to this egregious and outlandish charge from the state of North Carolina.

However she also now needs ALL who know her good nature, warm heart, and soft loving spirit to stand beside her in the battle. This is to anyone who has seen my mom's Facebook posts regarding the dog, anyone who is an animal lover, anyone who can attest to the truth about the poor conditions this dog has been living in, and last but not least anyone who is able and led in their heart to come to her aide now. Our immediate neighbors in the neighborhood and friends and family who have heard about the dog's sad life in a pin, sad and lonely, would help tremendously. She needs statements, texts, emails, or even phone calls showing love and support for the advice, encouragement, and prayers that are very much appreciated in advanced. Also, she needs some assistance in the form of financial help in order to hire a respectable attorney she has now found to help plead her case and fight this legal battle with her. To further explain, she is a retired cake decorator on social security income. Please, let us NOT let lack of funds for her be the reason this unjust charge is taken further due to not being able to hire adequate legal representation. Rather than let's lift her up and help her have this case dropped all together with the promise of the nature of my mom's clean record on a background check and good heart and good intentions. I am here to stand by my mom's side and proudly state the fact that she is a good person, but she wouldn't asl for money unless she really needed the help. I am here to ask on her behalf as this is such a difficult thing for her to go through and she means sooooo MUCH to me and she has always, always, always given so much back in life to anyone in need of a helping hand and has such a BIG heart for innocent little animals on this Earth who need help too! If she sees suffering she helps. That is just her good nature and kind, soft, loving spirit and heart.

I know you all care and I want to thank you all for taking the time read this post and also for any and all efforts that have already been made to emotionally and physically support my mom. She deserves that support as she is in a time of need. I am going to say a BIG thank you to whoever can help her in whatever way possible in advanced as I know anything you can do to support her at this time would be greatly appreciated by me and my family. I know any type support will touch her heart dearly. It would really mean the world for us to all reach and help my beautiful, wonderful woman of a mother and I know it would touch her heart to have us all come along side her and fight this battle with her too!

The 1st court appearance is 09/24/2024 and we need to raise a good chunk and amount before then for a respectable attorney she has found. They want half now and then can do a payment plan. Please share and spread the word to whomever you may think would care enough to support my mom. Again, I soooo so so appreciate you guys! Also to clarify she is being falsely accused of stealing someone's dog in the neighborhood which is NOT the case the son gave her the dog and we are unable to find him to prove this fact.
