Come celebrate my 23rd birthday by building a house for a family in need ;)
On March 10th-12th we are going to Ensenada, Mexico to build house from the ground up. Families are currently living with dirt for floors, pallets for walls, and a tarp for roofs. Please join us in the journey of giving a family a place they can call home. It is the MOST rewarding experience, you can't miss it. Lots of suprises for the weekend. Come, you won't regret it!
Every donation helps and goes towards:
- An experienced staff that provides logistics, set-up, guidance and interpreters.
- Construction materials, equipment, and every other needed element to build a 16 X 20 insulated home on a concrete slab with electrical wiring.
- Service programs and outreach in the community and local orphanage (feeding programs, activities with orphanages among others.)
For those interested in joining the build:
1.) The trip is very SAFE. Accommodations for the weekend are in a gated community with an amazing ocean view. Your stay, all meals, transportations and expenses are covered in your $300 donation.
2) The drive to Ensenada is 2 hours from San Diego. It is safe, on paved roads. When the participants are confirmed, I will work with everyone to arrange transportation, carpools, etc.
3) Everyone will have an opportunity to build the home, volunteer at the orphanage, and engage with the children and families in the community (my favorite part.)
4.) We are flexible with your schedule. You're welcome to stay for all or part of the build weekend, whatever works best with your schedule.
5.) No experience required. All you need is a positive attitude and an open heart :)
6.) WARNING: You might become addicted to this... House builds, orphanages, feeding progams, tacos, meeting awesome people among others. Sounds good to me! Where do I sign up?
