Olly is a friend who owns a small car repair business and recently had to have back surgery. He had serious deterioration of two lower discs - indeed one of them was not really there anymore. He was given spinal injections to help relieve the horrific pain (which was scaled as 11/10) but that was never going to be a long-term solution. The procedure he needed to be able to walk and live pain free and simply to work again was not available on the NHS plus his insurance company declined to cover, so he had to shell out £36K to have it done privately. He is on the mend, but with some way to go.

As you can imagine, this wiped out his savings and also took his beloved cars from him. He's well on the mend but during all this his 15 year old daughter Ruby has been and continues to be his absolute rock! This fund is to help Olly take his star of a daughter to see family in the USA later this year and give her a wonderful holiday to help make up for all she lost out on during his illness.
