Let's Thank Ms. Shay

In April 2025, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) cut funding to the AmeriCorps program. AmeriCorps has been a long-standing program that funds young people to work in a variety of service sectors, including schools.

For this school year, Think College Now has had an AmeriCorps volunteer, Ms. Shay, support our students and staff. She has been an invaluable member of our community these past few months, supporting our student body in a variety of capacities. With the AmeriCorps cuts, this impacts her work (and pay!). As a TCN community, we would like to thank her in a tangible way, so we are inviting you to contribute to support her in this time.

En abril de 2025, el Departamento de Eficiencia Gubernamental (DOGE) recortó los fondos del programa AmeriCorps. AmeriCorps ha sido un programa de larga trayectoria que financia a jóvenes para trabajar en diversos sectores de servicios, incluyendo las escuelas.

Para este año escolar, Think College Now ha contado con la Sra. Shay, voluntaria de AmeriCorps, para apoyar a nuestros estudiantes y personal. Ha sido un miembro invaluable de nuestra comunidad durante los últimos meses, apoyando a nuestro alumnado en diversas funciones. Con los recortes de AmeriCorps, esto afecta su trabajo (¡y su salario!). Como comunidad de TCN, queremos agradecerle de forma tangible, por lo que los invitamos a contribuir para apoyarla en este momento.
