As many of you know, my dad, Steve Ayers, was recently diagnosed with multiple myeloma back in November and had to recently undergo a stem cell transplant at City of Hope. This has been an incredibly challenging time for our family, as his health requires constant care and attention. Unfortunately, just as he began his treatment, my dad faced another setback—his house suffered major water damage. The homeowner's insurance has been slow to respond, and the repairs have dragged on, leaving his home uninhabitable at the moment.
Because of his weakened immune system from the transplant, my dad and brother cannot return home and must stay in a hotel until the construction is complete. The costs of hotel, medical bills, and daily living expenses are quickly adding up. At a time when he should be focusing on healing, he is instead worried about finances and where he will stay.
My dad did not want me to start a GoFundMe, but we truly need your help to get through this difficult period. Anything you can contribute or even just sharing this fundraiser would mean so much to us. Let’s rally around Steve/Dad/Papa and show him how truly loved and supported he is by his friends and family!
