Let's Support Heather!

Our beloved friend and neighbour, Heather was recently displaced from her home because of a fire in the unit next to hers. She will be forced to leave the home that she has loved for many years. Thankfully she and her cats are safe, but she needs to cover her expenses while living in a hotel.

Heather has been living with housing insecurity for many years as her home is slated for redevelopment soon. She doesn't want to leave the neighbourhood she loves and her neighbours don't want to lose her! She has been a true gift to this community. We fear that this fire will force Heather to move out of the community. My hope is that financial support for moving expenses will give Heather some freedom to choose where she lives in the future.
