As many in the community might have already heard there was a tragic car accident on Route 332 December 8th. Rachel Pierce lost her life that day, she was a single mother to her 13 year old son Jaiden Pierce. To say that the sun rose and set on him is an understatement, she loved him more than life itself. If you had the pleasure of knowing Rachel then you also had the pleasure of hearing her brag about him playing football, soccer and basketball as she smiled from ear to ear.
Jaiden was Rachel's life line and vice versa, they have been a team of two from the beginning. He does not have a huge family and in the past few days, his Aunt obtained temporary legal guardianship of him. She is also a single mom with two teenage boys so taking on a 3rd teenager will stretch her financially to say the least. Our goal is to try and help Jaiden as much as possible which means emotional and financial support for his needs in the future.
I know it's Christmas and many families are struggling the past year given the circumstances with COVID but any donation would be greatly appreciated for him. The love and support of the CA community never ceases to amaze me and I have no doubt that everyone will pull through once again. Thank you all and many blessings for a safe and wonderful holiday!
