I was walking the streets of New York City and asked a lady if she had some quarters to help me get on the bus. She immediately stopped and gave me a couple of dollars. Then, to Michelle's surprise, I said I was just rewarding someone's kindness and didn't need the help and gave her $1,000. She immediately began shaking and tearing up and shared that she had recently lost her faith in God because of how hard life had been as a single mom trying to get through nursing school and all of the other challenges she faced. She was crying because, in that moment, she knew and was reminded that God had never left her side.
