Hi, my name is Celine and I would like to make sure that Kristin and Mitch can take their amazing kids on the vacation that they have been dreaming of for years.

After an unbelievable turn of events, the vacation they had been saving for since before their 6 year old was even born, was ripped out of their grasp.

In Kristin’s words:

“In 2017 I was a consultant with Thirty-One Gifts and they had an incentive to earn Disney Gift Cards. I worked hard and was able to earn $6,200 USD in Disney Gift Cards. I was so proud and overjoyed that I would be able to contribute to the majority of the cost of a Disneyland trip for our family. The plan was to wait for the boys to get a little older before planning a trip. Ruby was born in 2019 which postponed our trip a little longer.

Since February of this year I have been experiencing some health problems. My body is failing me and so far, nothing I’ve done has helped slow the progression of this illness. I haven’t been able to work, I’ve missed out on things with the kids and some days I’m not even able to get out of bed. Mitch and I had a long talk where we decided it was time to start planning our family’s Disneyland trip and bring some joy to our lives.

Finally something exciting for our family to look forward to. I reached out to a travel agent to begin planning our dream trip. Then it was time to put down the deposit so I logged onto Disney Gift Cards website to double check the balances on the cards. My stomach in my throat, 3 cards show $0 balance and another only has $124.69?!?! On the verge of tears, I click on the transaction history and it loads to show my worst nightmare come true. Someone has gained access to my gift cards and spent them on their own trip!! Just like that, $3,855.36 USD GONE!! Now I’m crying so hard I might get sick to my stomach. How is this possible?

I told myself to take a deep breath and call Disney. I can see all the transaction history for every card so they can too. Customer service tells me to email guest services with my images and all the information. I sent the email and I get an auto reply with a ticket # for my inquiry. When I received a reply back regarding the unauthorized use on my gift cards I was told they will do nothing about this and I’m not able to dispute the charges. I live in Alberta Canada and the gift cards were used at Walt Disney World. I’ve never been to Florida in my life! Vacations were booked in other people’s names, they went on a shopping spree at Downtown Disney and booked Lightning Lanes to enjoy their vacation, all with the hard earned gift cards that were supposed to take MY babies to Disneyland.

At a time when our family could use some happiness and joy, when we should be excitedly planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth we are left devastated and helpless. These weren’t just gift cards to us, they provided us the opportunity to take our babies on this vacation that wouldn’t be possible otherwise. My health struggles have had me in a dark place and this was something that brought a smile to my face and light into my darkness. Now it’s all gone.”

They had $3,855.36 USD stolen from their gift cards, which equates to 5,341.41 CAD using the exchange rate for today, September 14, 2025. Kristin and her family deserve to take this trip and can not do so with their current situation, unless they can get back the money that was taken.
