Let's restock the St. John's larder!
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
In the centre of Freo (Walyalup Koort) is the beautiful heritage building, St. John's Anglican Church. Among others, this church has two beautiful requests to community: feed the hungry and give drink to the thirsty.
To meet this calling we have a larder, which is usually filled with all sorts of long-life food and drink. When the church doors are open, whomever pleases can come and ask for something to take with them. A member of the parish will give them a bag, open the larder, and let them take as much as they need.
After the holiday season and in a hot Summer, the larder sits empty. People come in, thirsty and hungry, with families and friends to feed, and we have nothing left to give. This is a problem we can solve! Let's restock the St. John's larder!
Please, my friends, our community, contribute some money and spread the word, so come next Thursday or Thursday next, when someone walks in off the street, I can open the larder and let them take what they need.
Let's make this happen. It's important. It matters.
If there is any other way you'd like to get involved with St. John's, reach out to St. John's and our fantastic new rector, Ernest ([email redacted]th.anglican.org), or to me ([email redacted]).
Let's fill the larder!
