Let’s replace Nadiyah’s stolen music equipment!

We’re gathering all friends and family to raise the funds for Nadiyah to buy back all her music gear stolen from her car last week.

These are the tools necessary for her craft, and the theft was a real blow.

The amplifiers especially are big investments, and the rest of the items too - mics, cables, an Oud - seriously add up, all of them necessary for her performances as Hut23 and other projects, workshops, and healing works that bring so much to our community.

We all know Nadiyah is a family leader, a force of nature in bringing community together and staying true to wholesome and healing gatherings and wellbeing. She gives so much, all the time.

We’re so grateful for all she does for others, for us, and for the beauty and power of her music and other gifts. She’s the last person in the world deserving of her precious kit getting nicked! It’s been a tough year for her too.. Time for us to give back! ❤️‍

We’d like to raise enough to pay for all the equipment, we’ve tallied the costs, but also add on enough to gift her with two instruments she’d really love to have! A loop station and a harmonium.

Nadiyah armed with these. we’re going to be in for serious sonic treats!

‘A few weeks ago 2 amps (a bose and a Roland Street Cube), my mic bag with mic and all kinds of clips, cables, jacks, adaptors, batteries, guitar strings, ouds, personal bits and memories were stolen from my car.

This has had a knock-on effect, both monetary and emotionally for me, for various reasons.... because this wasn't just stuff, it was an extention of my craft, expression and livelihood.

The past year has honestly been gruelling, full of contradictions, filled with exquisite beauty and sweet ecstacy, whilst tempered with bitterness, pain and adversity.... I've soared in the higher realms of my highest self, and I've equally flailed around in the deepest gutters of this dimension.

I've been 4, 14, 24, 34, and 44 all in the same year.... in no specific order, and often all at once.

I've been supporting those around me with the deepest parts of my being, whilst simultaneously needing more support than I can ever recall in this lifetime.

It's been humbling, hurtful, excruciating, elucidating and testing beyond measure.... and bear in mind, I've already been through a lot of extremes in my life up until 2024, so to say this year has been the toughest is saying a lot.

From the outside in, perhaps it looks like I've been having a ball.... in truth, for every thorn in my side, I've simply beat my drum harder, sung my songs louder, listened more intently, stood stronger and been grateful for my sight....

I've given thanks for all the mercys, the saves, the chances, the angels, the loving embraces, the butterfly kisses, the knowing acknowledgements from those who TRULY SEE ME and have my back....

.... because many others have tried to sell me down the river for their own gain, or in fear of my tenacious nature.

I give thanks to them too, because they don't see that I'm the end and the beginning. When you move with me, it's time for your rebirth.... 23 ways to die and live again, 5 steps of constant change.

So, I'm giving so much gratitude to the ones who fearlessly embraced the death and rebirth they felt when they looked into my mirrors.... you know who you are.... the ones who get it.

44, I've had 8 months of your rinse and repeat shenanigans.... 45 is completion, just 4 months to go....

Just got to keep on keeping on.
