Dear friends of Maple Banks Farm,

Max and Britt would never ask for help themselves, so we are organizing a fundraiser to repair the deck under the maple tree. We’ve all been lucky to spend rejuvenating weekends with friends and family at the property, and the deck is the heart of it all: it has literally supported infinite love-filled gatherings, a spot for shared meals at the long table, a perch to sip your morning coffee while gazing out at the field, and a shady hideaway in a hammock.

If Maple Banks Farm holds a special place in your heart, please consider chipping in to fix the deck. There are considerable expenses for maintaining the property, and here is finally an opportunity to contribute towards a significant (and essential) project.

The plan is to replace all the boards because they are rotting through, and probably a few stringers, although most seem to be in good shape.

There is absolutely no expectation to participate in the fundraiser, but we wanted to create an opportunity for folks to give back. If you feel like you’re able to make a contribution, please give generously. There will also be a work party at some point to do the work, so that’s another way to contribute.

We are also planning some additional fundraisers over the weekend, including a by-donation cafe and a silent auction. Donations of baked goods for the cafe would be welcome, as well as goods or services for the silent auction.
