Lets Raise Funds to Raise Chris!

In 1959, the Italian community in Trenton gave a sculptured bronze statue of Christopher Columbus to the city of Trenton, to stand vigil over the children in the baseball fields and playgrounds of the former Columbus Park, Trenton. In 2020, the city of Trenton removed Christopher Columbus and he lies on the floor in a warehouse, defaced, disgraced. We, the Italian Americans gave Chris to Trenton once. We need to give him to Trenton again, one step at a time.

Firstly, we must restore Columbus by removing the red paint and refinishing the bronze with a protective coat of wax. Our restorer can do this for $8,000. Once cleaned, with the help from the City of Trenton, we hope to re-erect Columbus for public view.
