Lets officially help make Kayden a Johnston!!
Donation protected
On April 30th, 2020, My brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Kimberly agreed to temporarily foster a little boy due to a family emergency.
Covid was ramping up and there was so much uncertainty about the days ahead. What was certain is that Kayden needed a loving family to care for him while this situation worked itself out. Greg and Kimberly had already been faithful to their calling of being foster parents and knew they couldn't say no to caring and showing the love of Jesus to this little boy.
Time continued to pass and through many situations that I won't go into out of respect and privacy, it was looking like this could be more long-term. Greg, Kimberly, Family and Friends began to pray that whatever God's will is for Kayden that it would be done.
On February 18th, 2022 Greg and Kimberly were granted guardianship over Kayden. Kayden was already a part of our family well before this day but at this moment we knew it was more permanent at this point. Kayden called them Mom and Dad at this point and Brenden and Brylie are no doubt to him his brother and sister. Grandma, Grandpa, Uncles, Aunts and Cousins were all considered his blood family through his eyes.
Some would call it Destiny. I call it Jesus. We don't always understand the circumstances and we may never, but that is ok. Kayden is blessed by a family that loves him and has sacrificed so much to care for him. Kayden has also given so much to all of us that he may never even realize.
Greg and Kimberly are starting the process of adoption. As you know adoption is not a cheap process, unfortunately. It will cost around $2500 for this to happen. If you feel led and are able I would humbly ask you to consider donating to help make this a reality. As I said, He is already a big part of our family and has been for almost 3 years. This is just the last step in making it official!
Thank you all and let's make this boy a JOHNSTON!!!
