I Am Mississippi Strong

Hi, my name is Faith Young, I am the owner of Door 2 Door Recycling. I am a service driven mother of 4 who is always eager to help create resolutions for situations involving Mississippi. I was recently selected as the D1 Nation State Director for Mississippi. I am seeking funds to help create avenues for glass recycling throughout the state of Mississippi and help with establishing a travel & local youth football league (that will help young athletes from ages 7-14 & 15-18) to gain exposure on a national platform.

As the Mississippi State Director for D1 Nation, one of the largest youth sports national platforms, It allows me the opportunity to host national youth football tournaments right here in Central Mississippi which would open up opportunities to the youth. As a mother of 4 young children, I want to create ways to help all kids follow their dreams. Noticing that there are not many avenues for national exposure currently, I am trying to create them now. I am seeking funds to help with the starting costs of establishing a statewide travel football team. The funds will be used for equipment needed, training, travel costs, and tournament fees.

We currently offer glass recycling services to the Central Mississippi area, Oxford, and offer fill the truck events partnering with Ole Miss and Mississippi State University. The glass we collect currently is shipped to Atlanta, GA where we occur shipping fees but are not given any money for the recycled glass. When we offer the fill the truck events we currently have to rent a truck to host the events. We are seeking funds to help purchase a truck, the equipment needed to process the glass, as well as a forklift.
