Hey I'm Sage,

QueerBomb means the world to me and if you're reading this, I know it likely does you too.

It's been incredibly hard to keep QueerBomb running since the pandemic started but, with the help of this fantastic community here in Austin, we've somehow kept this fire going.

The Bomb Squad needs your help again this year.

This year the Bomb Squad is mostly new and are just starting on the whats, wheres, and hows to make this year's QueerBomb outshine the rest in defiance of all of the hatefulness we're fighting.

We MUST stand together to celebrate ourselves, as we are, despite all of this hate.

We have always been here.

We will continue to do so, always.

So let's celebrate!

Queerbomb has always been held on the first Saturday in June but we're still trying to figure out where and thus when but early June is our intent.

WHAT IS QUEERBOMB?

We are a community resource fair, a rally with speakers & opportunities to get involved, a glittering explosion of color, music, & joy as we march together, then top the night off with an amazing dance party! QueerBomb is a celebration of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and ally (LGBTQIA+) community, deep in the heart of Texas. It will always be free, no person in our queer community should be excluded or gatekept from any part of our community, least of all pride events.

IT'S FREE BUT IT AIN'T CHEAP

Each year, Queerbomb grows in size, strength, and passion. However, as the crowds have grown, so have the costs. Each year we face increased fees from vendors and the City and require greater resources to meet the needs of our ever-evolving communities.

$5, $50, or $500 - Please donate what you can and ask your friends to donate, too!

Your much needed donations will go toward:

-City fees and/or permits.

-Rental Fees.

-Insurance for the entire event.

-Tables for all nonprofit Outreach.

-Sound tech.

-Emcees, performers, DJs, & speakers

-Press/posters, flyers, & materials.

THE QUEERBOMB MANIFESTO

Queerbomb is a family of LGBTQIA+ individuals gathering to support our unique and collective pride. Our purpose is to provide a space to celebrate each and every member of our community and encourage all to embrace the manifold ways we contribute to building a beautiful and diverse society. We look to the traditions of our queer radical past, embodied in the struggles of our ongoing fight for equal justice and the right to express ourselves in whatever way we see fit.

Each June, the month of Stonewall, we stand forth to embrace our sexuality, bodies, personalities, art, music, literature and politics, while recapturing Pride from corporate sponsorship. We are reclaiming the radical, carnal, and transgressive lineage of our ever-changing community to capture a meaning of pride that refuses to put rules on what you can and can’t be proud of.

QueerBomb does not apologize.

QueerBomb does not make excuses.

QueerBomb is free for all.

QueerBomb stands proud, and so should you.
