Let's Help MJ Food Bank Build Their Forever Home!

Recently, after many years of searching for a new building to house their non-profit, Moose Jaw & District Food Bank has found their forever home. The new building located at 270 Fairford St W is made up of a 4000sq. ft warehouse and a structure designated for office space. Unfortunately, the building has sat vacant for over two decades resulting in the requirement of a new roof, a complete gut & remodel. With being a non-profit organization & funds being short due to the current pandemic, the Food Bank has requested for the City of Moose Jaw to waive their landfill & permitting fees for this renovation to happen. Moose Jaw City Council denied the Food Bank's request on March 8, 2021 due to the decision setting a precedence of having to provide the same request to other non-profit organizations whom have ongoing landfill fees. 

The total landfill fees estimate $690 & the total permit fees estimate $2,114 therefore I am asking our community to come together to help raise a total goal of $2,804 to help alleviate some of the stress on the MJ Food Bank going into this remodel of their new forever home. This organization does so much for our community, and they need our help!
