Hi all, on behalf of Luis and his family I have created this GoFundMe page in hopes to help them with their financial losses and rising medical bills.
If you have ever found yourself in The Kettle Black, you are sure to have come across Luis. Luis is a true staple at The Kettle, he is notorious for being there for multiple shifts in a row, working hard every second he is there. He never hesitates to pick up a shift for someone who asks, even if he had just worked a double before that. He would carry a bucket of ice over his shoulder, even on the most crowded night with ease and never once mention he was tired even if he was going on hour 10, and had a late night ahead of him until last call. Luis did this all, because he wants to give the best for his family. His wife and children are his pride and joy, he works hard for them.. every single day. A true role model of a man, husband and father. Being a hard worker isn’t the only thing we could rave about when it comes to Luis. He is genuine, and kind. Always greeting you with a hug, and asking how your family is. Even if it had been awhile since you last saw him, Luis never misses a beat. He is always checking in on your mom, dad, husband, or the newest addition to your family. That’s the kind of man Luis is. Loyal, hard working, kind, the list can go on. Unfortunately, everyone’s favorite worker at The Kettle Black, Luis, hadn’t been feeling well for a couple of weeks and it really got bad for him on Monday November 14th, necessitating a trip to the hospital. Fast forward 2+ weeks later and the progress has been up and down, with complications arising, a long battle lies ahead. Luis’ family has not left his side, from the start of this nightmare they are currently living. In true Luis fashion even when his body seemed so tired, and the outlook wasn’t good.. Luis worked. His body is fighting, harder than ever. It’s no question Luis is fighting with everything he has for his family. With Luis out of work, the stress of him being sick is only compounded by the stress of every day expenses, as well as the hospital bills that are growing by the day. Now is the time for us to step up, and help out. If you’ve ever sipped a cold beverage from The Kettle, odds are Luis was the guy who iced it to perfection. Had a table at the Kettle? Luis was the guy who kept your table clean. Worked a shift at The Kettle? Luis was the guy who made you smile, and reminded you that there are good people in the world. Luis is a soft spoken, kind man, who cares about others. Its our time to care about him and his family. Please help by donating anything you can.
