Let's help out baby Oliver and his family

Little Oliver hasn’t had the chance to come home yet. He has pent the first 12 days of his life in a hospital. 7 days at the Toowoomba Base Hospital’s Neonatal Unit and is currently at Brisbane’s Mater Mothers.

They have recently found out that he has a heart disease called Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Drainage - TAPVD for short. To fix this heart condition he’s needing open heart surgery. He’s maintaining okay numbers for the moment while they wait for his lungs to mature as much as they can before they put him in for surgery. We are still waiting on a date for him to go in unless his numbers drop. There is no cause or reason for this to be the case for little Oliver.

This has been incredibly hard on all.

It maybe another several weeks before surgeons can commence the surgery.
