Let’s help Natalie “make it work”!

Hello, my name is Colleen O’Hara, I’m a Physical Therapist and I love Natalie K Levant. I have to post this really fast, because Natalie has finally agreed to this Go Fund Me, and I’m afraid at any minute she will change her mind.

If you know Natalie, even if you don't, she is a “giver” not just of laughter, but of her love. Although her comedy isn't recommended for kids parties, at 91 years she is almost childlike in her embrace of people, strangers who quickly become friends, and those of us who are fortunate to call her our 'friend'. Then there are the animals…. well, Natalie has never met an animal she didn’t love with all her heart. Her Straybabies and Furbabies are legend. No one has fought longer or tried harder than Natalie to make this work and not ask for help…

But now Natalie needs to let us embrace her.

With my work I meet many different people..once in a very great while someone brings more to me than I could imagine. Natalie is one of those people. A Lifter, a compassionate lifter.

I have often heard Natalie say

“What I have, we both have”

Some of you who know Natalie well, know that there was a serious mismanagement of her funds which has left her in an extremely insecure financial situation. The bank now owns her home, however she is solely responsible for the cost of all repairs, maintenance, and property taxes. Since the 2021 screening of her award winning documentary, Still Standing (with her dear friend, the late George Saltz) life has changed. Natalie suffered an eye stroke, has had difficulty with balance and walking, as well as a progression of her heart condition from 'moderate' to 'severe'. Her passion to stay in her home has only been possible thus far with the help of her unwavering daughter Hallie Levant, Arleta Grasela (her “soul sister from her Polish Mama”) and a few generous folks.

The most important thing to Natalie is to stay in the home that she’s been in for the past 50 years. The home where she and her beloved husband Bob, raised their family, and where she continues to take care of her Furbabies and Straybabies.

Many people have been touched by Natalie in their lives. She is a fiercely independent woman and asking for help is really not in her vocabulary….So I am going to ask for her.

Anyone who can, please consider donating whatever you are able to keep Natalie in her home. What I want most for Natalie, is to wake up tomorrow without the stress and anxiety that have been with her for the last 7 years trying so hard to “make it work”.
