Levi was born with IUGR (inter uterine growth restriction) unfortunately with this comes many additional issues as Levi grows. The past couple months Levi my nephew has not gained weight which has brought them into a lengthy stay in Winnipeg away from home while he receives a tube feed to help gain weight and figure out what’s causing his failure to thrive and how to fix it. As many tests are being conducted my sister who’s a single mom to two boys is quickly burning through her savings and will be staying in Winnipeg and travelling quite frequently away from her job without pay. There has not yet been a definitive diagnosis on Levi he is undergoing various scans, genetic testing and so much more. This page will continue to be updated on how Levi is doing with his feedings etc. They are currently battling trying to keep a NG tube placed for his feeds but as any 15 month infant would do he continues to pull it out thinking it’s a game.
