Hi , my name is Rachael, and I’m fundraising for my brothers family, who have been massively affected by the recent storms .

My brothers family of 6 with a baby on the way we’re at the early stages of their house renovation, to create their three bed home into a home that will provide space for all their children and there baby which is due in December.

Unfortunately Sunday 19th of October 2025, the rains came, and didn’t stop, leading to horrendous water damaged within the family home.

Water feel through ceilings, flowed down walls, flooded beds, wardrobes, kitchen units, and carpets.

So much water feel over a few days , which led to ceilings collapsing in all rooms.

The property was unsafe to live in.

On Sunday 19th October , the children were shipped off to their aunties to stay away from their parents .

I am that aunty.

My niece and nephews are safe, warm and settled at my house, were they share the house with my own children, but of course they want to be home, with their mum and dad.

My brother and pregnant sister in law are doing their best to camp outside of the ruined home on the drive way, trying to saver the house.

The house on Monday 20th October 2025, was gutted to try and save any furniture such as beds, desks , computers, TVS, sofas.

There was a lot of furniture that couldn’t be saved. Even floor boards need replacing.

The house renovation has gone from an exciting adventure, to a living night mare.

The work from the water damage is terrifying and will cost a lot to repair.

I am fundraising to raise any money to donate towards the rebuild, to ensure the family can return to their home soon, and hopefully before Christmas .

The property should be water tight soon, but because of the damage from the rain, the property will need electrics , flooring, capers for the bedrooms to keep warm over winter , and mattresses for each bed, every mattress was destroyed by dirty rain water .

I ask if you can spare any money to help rebuild their family home, in time for Christmas and ready for baby.
