Let's Get Super Kyle Back On Ice

Hey everybody it's Kornicky from Rebel 101.7.

Many of you are already familiar with Kyle Humphrey. We just call him Super Kyle!

During our conversation on air last week, I found out that Kyle had a desire to return to playing Sledge Hockey. A lifelong passion of his has been on hold for the past 14 years. Recently inspired to chase a dream to one day compete because of our Canadian Para-lympians currently in Beijing, Kyle will be trying again at the sport he lives starting this Friday. Friends have arranged for him to borrow some equipment. His excitement to return in some capacity to a sport he loves has spawned this crowd funding effort by the Rebellion.

Anyone that has met Kyle is immediately struck by his cheerfulness and positive attitude. He has almost singlehandedly improved the lives of those with mobility issues in Ottawa with tireless efforts to improve Para Transpo and access around Ottawa. He inspires others daily by not allowing a life in a wheelchair to keep him from LIVING or looking forward to what's next. His approach to life should be an example to all.

He never asks for anything. In return for his efforts, he only wishes for us to listen to the challenges those with mobility issues face daily and offer solutions so we can all enjoy our city equally.

In the past week I have been in contact with Unique Inventions and Kyle to find out what is needed to Get Kyle Back On Ice and fullfil a dream of his.

The funds raised will be used to purchase a purposely "built for Kyle"...Sledge Hockey package. It includes sled and bucket suitable for his frame,blade, sticks, summer road hockey wheels, risers and all he'll need to start enjoying something he has missed greatly over the last 14 years.

Together I hope we can repay his efforts in making Ottawa a much better place to live for us all. A way to say THANK YOU Super Kyle for being an inspiration.

The cost of all the items, delivered and with tax included is $1483.13.
