Hello there my name is Terry Howson and for most of my life I have wanted and worked towards helping Scotland to be Independent, and to not being constrained by Westminster.

I have been active in Scottish Politics , seeking Independence, for far too many years to admit to, but , since the referendum when we almost touched it, I have been tireless in getting us there.

I could go on, probably for hours, but that would just make you want to curl up and cry.

Suffice it to say that in July 2025 I was selected as a candidate for the Alba party, and as you all probably know, that vehicle ran into a brick wall , or what I like to call “ The need for a wee campervan!” - with a new protagonist at that that particular helm.

The party crashed and folded this last week amidst quite a storm of protest from the chosen candidates regarding the dismissal of getting the membership’s approval to do so.

Many of us were left rudderless, our life’s desires for ourselves, our children, our children’s’ children and the future of Scotland seemed unattainable.

But Alliance to Liberate Scotland, with whom I have been friendly from before they amalgamated to create the Alliance, offered those of us bereft and now rudderless , a safety ladder to stand for Holyrood.

Several former Alba Candidates have hobbled across that bridge, including myself.

But, like all political Indy parties they are strapped for cash folding and it costs a pretty penny to stand for Holyrood on either the Constituency or the Region, so it is down to us , who wish to stand for Scotland’s Independence to raise the cash to be able to be nominated [ £500 for the constituency and another £500 for the Region].

That, in itself , is quite a task, but we also have to pay for leaflets, postage campaigning etc , and the mountain becomes quite difficult to attempt to even reach the foothills

Being able to reach a point wher we can get within touching distance makes scaling Ben Nevis seem like a “ skoosh case” and more like attempting K2 in yer sandshoes!

So I am reaching out to my friends, who are now running for cover or hiding in their wardrobes , to help us to fund this attempt on creating a Supermajority of Indy parties in Holyrood.

if you want Independence ,any donation, no matter how small, or if you are a mega millionaire with a few spare quid , and want Independence, please donate as much as you can easily afford , and I promise to work relentlessly on our, Scotland’s, behalf to get us there, before Reform and all those Westminster based parties get together and decide to close down Holyrood and make it into another U.K.Goverment in Scotland Office.
