Help Max Gain His Independence with a TinyTrax Electric Chair
We’re fundraising to raise £8,000 to buy a TinyTrax electric wheelchair for our beautiful, brave son Max — so he can move independently and experience the world around him in a way that most toddlers take for granted.
Max is a twin, born 10 weeks early after a complicated pregnancy. Sadly, during the birth he suffered a brain injury which resulted in a condition called PVL (Periventricular Leukomalacia) — causing cysts to form in the frontal lobes of his brain. As a result, Max has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy and has left-sided hemiplegia, meaning the left side of his body is significantly affected.
At the moment, Max can only sit with support and gets around by pulling himself along the floor. He attends regular physio and occupational therapy, and we’re doing everything we can to give him the best chance in life. He has an MRI scan in June which will give us more clarity on the full extent of the brain damage and what his future might look like — including whether he will be able to walk.
Despite everything, Max is the most determined, funny, and loving little boy. He brings joy to everyone who meets him, and he has a bond with his twin brother and big sisters that melts hearts. What he needs now is the freedom to move and play like other children his age.
We have a demo booked in July for a TinyTrax electric chair — a custom-built chair designed especially for children like Max. It’s lightweight, compact, and will give him the power to move, explore, and interact more freely at home and out in the world. You can read more about the chair here: https://www.tinytrax.com
Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to giving Max the independence he deserves.
Thank you so much for your kindness, support and love — it means the world to our family.
