On February 28th, Chris Pagano, Diablo Employee, Member & Photographer, was seriously injured and hospitalized after brutal crash with a truck while riding his electric bike. His bike was destroyed. Chris suffered two broken arms, a knee injury and fractures in his cheeks and jaw.

Last week, Chris underwent multiple surgeries. The surgeries went well. He ended up with two metal plates for the broken bones around his eye, a metal plate and screws in his left wrist, and a pin in the right hand where the break is behind the pinky. He also has a torn ACL and meniscus in his right knee, but we won't know if he needs surgery on those until we see an orthopedic specialist. Fortunately he is home with family now.

Not to be held back, Chris has already picked out a bike that he wants that is very similar to the one he had.

Several Diablo members have asked about contributing to the purchase of Chris' new ride. Chris' family agreed and said that Chris would be incredibly honored and grateful to receive such an incredible gift from the community he cherishes so much.

** IMPORTANT ** We're planning to SURPRISE Chris with the bike on Friday at our Friday Night Lights Event! Help us keep this a secret from Chris.

Diablo will be making a donation and will leave the rest up to our awesome community. With as many people we have that know and love Chris, it shouldn't take long to reach our goal. Any amount will help: $5, $10 or $20 will get us there quickly.
