Today, I walked into a Walmart and met Ana.
I asked her if she could help me wrap a gift for a birthday, and without hesitation, she stopped what she was doing and helped me, no questions asked, with her two daughters.
To thank her for her kindness, I told her that the gift was actually for her and it had $1000 in it. She broke down in tears and began to share her story.
Ana is currently homeless after she was evicted in April and is caring for her two children who are on the autism spectrum. She works hard driving Uber, but because she has to rent a car for it, it’s been nearly impossible for her to get ahead and find stable housing.
Even in the middle of her own struggle, Ana chose kindness toward a stranger.
That kind of heart deserves to be met with support.
Let’s come together, rally around Ana, and help her and her children get off the streets and into a safe, stable home. ❤️
