Let's get Alice home to her Papa
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Tony Jackson. I was awarded full custody of my granddaughter Alice in July, and have had her in my care since January. She's been in my home since she was 2 months old, she's now 11 months old. In the last few weeks CPS started to receive allegations that mom and dad were having unsupervised visits, which is not allowed according to my agreement with CPS. I believe that the allegations were false. After so many calls came in, they called me in for a meeting. They reassured me so many times that they were not taking my baby away over allegations, but when we got to the meeting they tore her from my arms. They did not give me any time to collect her belongings or say goodbye, just ripped her from a great home over hearsay allegations. The allegation they took her over was that the parents were seeing Alice unsupervised while she was with the babysitter they chose and I had no choice but to use, before I had custody. There were multiple other false allegations made, but that was the allegation they specifically focused on. My daughter (Alice's mother) gave them the screenshots of the person who called them laughing and bragging about having made the false claims, and they still look her. The allegations had nothing to do with me or my granddaughter. They were about her mother and father who both signed their rights away because they knew that's what was best for their baby girl, and the allegations would have been during the time I did not have custody of my granddaughter, CPS still did. My lawyer and I feel like they are blaming me for something that would have happened while they were supposed to be keeping my granddaughter safe and while she was in the care of the babysitter they chose. Since I was given custody her parents could have supervised visitations at any time. They were at my house to see their daughter every chance they could get, and would have had no reason to even try to get an unsupervised visit (before I got custody they were only allowed to see her for one hour a week). I work from home as much as possible and rarely use a babysitter as is, and no longer use the CPS appointed babysitter who the allegations would have occurred with other than for very short amounts of time in an emergency situation (never again now that these allegations have come to light) But CPS still chose to take my granddaughter from a great home and put her in foster care. They are dragging their feet to even get her into another family members home and they are now only allowing me to see her an hour a week when she has been with me every day for 9 months. My lawyer and I believe we have enough grounds to be able to get Alice back home and all of the false allegations against me dropped, but I am struggling to pay all of the lawyer fees myself. My granddaughter deserves to come home to her papa and be able to spend her birthday with her family next month. We need help getting her home. Any money raised over the amount needed for legal funds will be put into a savings account for Alice's college fund (Ohio State). Please, help me get my baby girl home where she belongs and thank you in advance for any help. Even if you can only share the post, please do.
