About a year and a half ago, an All Saints graduate suffered a parent’s worst nightmare and unexpectedly and tragically lost her five-year-old son. As a parent, my heart literally won’t let my head go to how truly impossible that is - it’s just too hard.
As a friend of this young boy’s mother, I’ve seen firsthand the torment and pain this family deals with every single day waking up to relive the truth that their son is looking down upon them instead of up into his mama’s eyes. It’s a struggle every single day, but this woman and her husband push on and are strong for their daughter.
As if that wasn’t rock bottom enough, this family has a terrible roof that needs replacing. Because of a literal hole in said roof, they had to put their daughter to bed in their son’s old room shortly after he passed away last winter. Today, she’s still staying in her big brother’s room as a safety precaution and that mere fact just breaks. my. heart.
So that’s where this comes into play. I have asked this family if they would accept help on getting a new roof, to which they’ve said yes. A few of us have started working through organizing help on the labor portion of this job. Where I would love some help from you all is on monetary donations for purchasing the supplies to get this taken care of for them!
My hope is that you can find it in your hearts to support this cause and help us lighten the load this family is carrying.
If you are willing and able to help, please do so here; and if you aren’t - say a prayer for her and her family, there will never be enough of them!
Lastly, please do not share this publicly on social media. I would very much like to keep this as private as possible.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
