Justice for Simeon: Help Us Honor His Memory and Seek Answers

On June 21, 2026, at approximately 10:22 p.m., our beloved dog, Simeon, tragically lost his life during an encounter involving a Bessemer police officer.

Simeon was more than a pet—he was family. Born on August 19, 2020, he brought joy, companionship, comfort, and unconditional love to our lives every day. He was a loyal friend, a source of comfort, and a cherished member of our family. His sudden and traumatic loss has left us heartbroken and struggling to cope with the pain of his absence.

The events of that night have raised serious questions for our family, and we are seeking answers regarding the circumstances surrounding Simeon's death. In order to fully understand what happened and preserve the facts, we are seeking an independent veterinary necropsy (animal autopsy) and legal assistance to help us navigate the process of obtaining records, reviewing evidence, and understanding our rights.

Funds raised through this campaign will be used for:

Independent veterinary necropsy and expert review

Cremation and memorial expenses for Simeon

Legal consultation and attorney fees

Costs associated with obtaining records and documentation

Other expenses directly related to pursuing answers and accountability
