“The Bloom Saloon” is a monthly, intimately curated, genre non-conforming performance art space in Los Angeles, CA meant for Trans and Queer creators to share works-in-progress or finished projects within a held and intentional communal container.

Produced and hosted by Jade Phoenix, the Bloom Saloon intends to cultivate community artistry around liberation by trans and queer artists in collaboration and creativity together to cultivate joy, healing, grief, rage, and the held space for it all to be witnessed and received with the care and respect we all deserve as Queer and Trans, Black, Indigenous, People of Color.

The Bloom Saloon is currently being held at The Feminist Center For Creative Work and is currently a self-funded grassroots project by Jade Phoenix.

We have had two shows at The FCCW as our venue and will continue to be here until we outgrow it! Current capacity is 40, and so far our shows have brought in an average of 20 people per show and 15 performers!

We would love to continue this work and hope for it to grow and become a staple in our community that artists and community members can count on to be a space for them to cultivate their artistry and connect with other artists.

Here is where you come in! Our community currently runs on donations at the door and volunteer labor as well as the support of the Feminist Center For Creative Work providing their space for us to use monthly.

We are looking to raise a $3000 starter seed for our community garden of artists at The Bloom Saloon. Your support and mutual aid donation will go towards show production and labor, as well as equipment such as a mic stand and microphone. The seedling support will also help us set up tech support systems such as a website, YouTube, mailing list, and newsletters to be better connected to you in the future!
