Hello -

My name is Jessica Tiddes, and I live on the East Coast of S. Florida with my husband and daughter. We are fundraising to help my mom, Linda and her husband, Gary, find a new home and replace all contents after Hurricane Ian devastated their house and everything in it.

During the storm, they were trapped inside while their single-story home was flooded with two feet of sewer water. As traumatizing as that was, they were left with nothing after the winds and rain stopped. Floors were ruined, furniture was damaged, and ceilings collapsed.

They are safe now, physically unharmed (thank goodness), and staying in the homes of various friends and family (we are so thankful for each one).

Like many others in Sarasota County, they lost about 90% of their belongings. The road ahead is long. They will have to find a new place to live and furnish the inside of it. We hope to assist them in any way we can.

The funds will be delivered straight to them and spent on replacing damaged items, such as clothing, shoes, furniture, etc.

Through this fundraiser, we hope to show them how much they are loved and supported during such a dark time. Let's get started building back their future place of residency into a HOME.
