Lets build a Wheelchair Ramp

Rick Thomas is a member of the Austin Community on Chicago's West side.  Due to spinal cord injuries, he has been confined to a wheelchair since 1982.   While Rick has caretakers to help him complete some everyday tasks, he is able to manage his own needs in his home.  However he has not been able to leave the house in over 2 years due to a dangerously outdated wheelchair ramp in the rear of the house.  We have volunteers on standby to design and  install a ramp but we need to raise money for material and supplies.  

Rick also has a vehicle he is unable to drive because it doesn't have the necessary accommodations for his disability.  We are also raising funds for the necessary conversions so that in addition to being able to leave his home, he will be able to be independent in driving to tend to his own needs.
